Dr. Madhuri (Maddy) Balakrishna began her medical journey at the University of New England and the University of Newcastle. She gained valuable paediatric experience across the Hunter New England and Sydney Children's Hospital networks.

Maddy is passionate about all aspects of general paediatrics and has a special place in her heart for babies. She is dedicated to helping families manage common infant health concerns like prematurity, chronic medical conditions, and difficulties with growth.

With roots in India and New Zealand, Maddy has a diverse background that has taken her all over Australia. She returned to Newcastle in 2020 and now lives here with her husband and two young children. When not in the clinic, Maddy loves to cook, travel, and relax with her friends and family.
